Manual Reclining Chairs have a mechanism that enables them to be manually reclined using a lever, built in clip or relies on the strength of the user to push back into the chair, for it to recline.
These chairs recline to a greater degree than chairs that simply have an adjustable angle backrest; however, they will not bring the user to a fully reclined, horizontal position. The main attraction of the manual recliner, is that it is more affordable than a powered recliner and they do not need to be located near a power supply.
